Did You Know?
Despite its name, Playa
Flamingo is not a pink-
sand beach.
While the exact origin of
the name is unknown,
local tradition suggests it may have been inspired by an English-speaking visitor’s sightings of roseate
spoonbills—pink-hued
birds found in our mangrove that can resemble flamingos from
a distance.

ADI Flamingo sponsors a monthly cleanup on the last Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM starting at Margaritaville. Whether you have an hour or the whole morning, every little bit counts!
